Huff and Puff have come to visit you today, straight from the story of "The Three Little Pigs" - surely there's not a devo in THAT.....or is there?
Huff, Puff and the Big Bad Wolf have a long history of blowing houses down.....and so does the enemy of our soul. Build your house on a poor foundation of his charms and pleasures - or build it with his sticks and straws of terminal treasure - and it will fall with the least little wind. That's his plan.
But I know another builder who's got a plan - and HIS blueprint is perfect--built on the Rock, Christ Jesus. He's the builder and the foundation both - contract your life's building project with Him, the Rock of your Salvation - and no wind will ever blow it down.
Huff and Puff, Big Bad Wolf, begone! I'm building my home on eternal values and a sure foundation, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! You can go fly a kite far away from my domain...the Contractor is in control and you are not invited! - today, tomorrow or ever!
Now believe it, saints of God, build on the Rock with the bricks of His love, grace and mercy. The Big Bad Wolf can't blow your house down. Believe THAT and you will have a great, constructive, choco-rich day!
