One of my favorite stories is about the little boy misbehaving in church. His dad picked him up, took him out, and as they quickly moved down the aisle, the little boy, knowing he was about to get a well-deserved spanking, was heard to fervently say, "Pray, people, pray!"
And that's what we're SUPPOSED to be doing-- today - and every day. Won't you take a minute to bow in prayer for the needs you represent? Reviewing, confessing and repenting of your sins make take more than a minute - adjust schedule accordingly!!
Here's a unique way to do it with your family--and to remember important needs in prayer--prayer circles! On a piece of paper, draw a small circle, printing inside it the words, "The world within me." Draw a larger circle around it, with the words, "The world around me." Then draw an even larger circle around the two circles with the words, "The world beyond me." Fill in each circle with the names and needs you personally have--for your own self, for your friends and family, and for the world. Let's "PRAY, PEOPLE, PRAY"--many of us many never meet in person but we can all meet around HIS Throne of Grace any time of day or night. God bless you--and give you a good day!
(NOTE: If your children or grandchildren enjoy craft activities, this is a great one. Let them use magic markers/photos/pictures/craft items, whatever they'd like, to decorate a posterboard prayer circle that you can display in your home. The kids will love it--and you'll be helping them learn to pray.)
