Bible Byte 'n Chocolate Chew for Today
"Lessons Learned from a Tilted Tree!"
Daily Manna's Bible reading: Ephesians 5:15-20 (NIV)
Now this is a wild one--but I just KNEW as I sat in my living room and evaluated the back-breaking work of decoration I'd just completed, that there WAS a problem AND a potential devotional somewhere in it all......I have a TILTED Christmas tree.......if it were OLD, I might blame it on a back-breaking syndrome I've discovered as I - and the rest of you (!!) - age and deal with bad backs of our own!!But NO - it's off to Trees Anonymous, where I will see that the funny Tilted tree will finally confess, "My name is Titled Tree and I need help!" Hopefully, graduate students in either math or chemistry will also have the commense sense, when they return home for Christmas, to apply duct tape or SOMETHING in all the right places and Mom's tree will learn its lesson and eventually stand TALL!
Reminds me of advice given me several years ago as I faced unwanted, unChristian, and evil visitors in my Christian chat room. "Stand tall in the face of evil," my friend advised this distressed webmaster. That good advice worked - and still works - for me and for you!
Evil abounds in our society; our secular world hates Christianity, Christmas and all it stands for, except for the cash register ring (!!) - and we, as Christian believers must stand tall - for ourselves and our families - for moral values and decency - for righteousness and Christian living learned from His Word.
Your tree, like mine, may be tilted, but we will not bend. The King has come - He reigns and we stand - TALL - in the face of all that opposes Him and His eternal world.......and that's a lesson learned from the tilted, talking tree for this day. Believe it and have a choco-rich, standing-tall day wherever in the world you live!

Please note that while I strongly adhere to major tenets of the evangelical Christian faith, I may not personally agree with every specific doctrinal belief set forth in other Christian pages. I do want to provide a diversity of links and resource material for the entire Body of Christ to enjoy, and trust you will view it as such.A safety tip: Internet links and material may include other links and/or material which do not reflect my Christian views or yours. Please choose wisely and use with discretion! And if you find an ugly spider hiding in a dark corner, you may smash it with a broom from my BROOM CLOSET--I hate offensive stuff too!
