........that's me in the tuxedo, with an invisible splint on my left lower extremity....due to a freak accident on Friday. I was headed upstairs from my lower level office to track down a specific Scripture to give a friend and on the way, my left foot, ASLEEP, freaked out, causing me to fall and BREAK MY ANKLE....
Since Friday I've been in a splint, hopping around on crutches from hell, with my husband as my personal nurse, chief cook and assistant, as I've "reclined" in the living room......hopping helplessly only when absolutely necessary and as an accident waiting to happen! I felt like a star on the famed "I Love Lucy" show or even a hilarious Laurel and Hardy old movie - To watch was to laugh and my kids' only disappointment must have been they were not here to video-tape Mama's antics for YouTube!!
This morning I heard good news.....the orthopedic surgeon looked at my x-rays, said it is a "minimal fracture" and I CAN walk on it without the crutches - with light weight pressure (now THAT is interesting seeing I should be on a diet!!), and see him on Friday.......
Yippee! I write gleefully, as one still-splinted, but CRUTCHLESS, happy, hoppin' woman! Having been off the computer WITH NO LAPTOP since Friday p.m., you can guess it didn't take me long to hobble down the steps, to grab my mouse, hop online, and happily testify to ya'll, "A funny thing happened on my way to the Word!!" - great stories can come out of the wildest circumstances......and His Word still works - so stay tuned - the writer is back in business!
Signed
Happy Hoppin' Hannah.......
Another ankle accident.....another story......
