Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." April Fools' Day at Peggie's Place!

One of my late preacher-dad's favorite stories was about a New Yorker who walked the streets of the city wearing a "sandwich board." As people passed him, they read, "I am a fool for Christ's sake." Many snickered, of course--until they turned around to read the back of the board, "Whose fool are you?"

Food for thought every time we celebrate the fun and foolishness of April Fool's Day - or ANY day! Pranks prevail, and it is fun to make-a-fool or be-a-fool for a day, but ever have someone make fun of your faith? It's no fun--it's called "persecution for righteousness' sake"--and we know very little of it, compared to martyrs who gave (and still give) their very lives for profession of faith in Christ. They--and we--will forever be fools to a world that knows Him not--unless or until they come to know Christ themselves! And by the way, who is the REAL fool, after all? "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God (Psalm 14:1)."

Hold high your head--you're really no fool at all! You've made a wise choice--you've given your life to the all-wise, all-powerful God of heaven and earth! And as Jim Elliot once said, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose!" Believe it--and have a great God-honoring, no-fool, choco-rich day!

Prayer: "Lord, the world calls me a fool; the wicked one calls me a fool--if it be for THY Name, then so be it! I proudly take my stand as a Christian; I will honor and serve You today, whether the world does or not--I choose YOU, and it's the wisest choice I've ever made. Help me honor You today, In Jesus Name, Amen."
