He is about SIX FOOT SIX, depending on whose measurements you take--the doctor's office or Jason's on the door frame on my office door! HE likes the door frame--he's sixteen--and he's my baby boy, the rascal! He stands tall, above his older brother, and WAY above his mom--and he loves it! Of course, he's got a dad who's been known to stand at 6'7" so he may have a ways to go. AND look out, big 'n tall shops, here we come!

But that's not the kind of "tall" I'm talking about...I first heard it from a good friend on the Web who knew I was going through a difficult time with some unsavory characters in my former chat room. His advice? "Stand tall in the face of evil!" I did, I survived--and I never forgot it...I hope you never will either!

You see, we live in a wicked world, and as my pastor recently said, "It's a world of extremes!" Well, it's a WEB of extremes too...and if you've been on the Internet surfing the Web for any length of time, you know what I mean. On one side of the Web stand those who serve God, boldly proclaiming the love, joy and peace of the Lord. On the other side stand those who boldly curse God. Oh, they too proclaim love, joy and peace--but it's their brand--in the form of pornography, off-color humor, and off-beat spirituality! It's a wild, wacky world out there--and truly a Web of extremes.

SO do we flee? NO, NO, a thousand times, NO! We stand tall in the face of evil. We continue to proclaim Christ as the way, the truth and the life. We can shine all over the Web--in personal Christian home pages, church and ministry web sites, Christian teens and kids' pages. You don't have a Web site? You've got email--SHINE for Him--STAND TALL for Him...be a blessing and you will find blessing for yourself!

Be cautious, alert, discerning, thoughtful, of course--but don't be afraid. For He, the Lord of all, stands with us, supports us, strengthens us, and through Him, we are more than conquerors. Believe it--STAND TALL--and you will have a great day!
