Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way
I began my morning walk with discipline, not really delight. As I stepped onto the pavement, a tune began humming in my heart--or wherever tunes hum--and I soon recognized the song. It was "Holy Ground," the popular praise chorus we all enjoy. I chuckled to myself realizing THIS was not HOLY ground--this was HARD ground--and it hurt. Leg muscles, neck and shoulder muscles cried out in protest--but I kept walking and humming...
And then I realized. God not only has a sense of humor--He has a message for all of us. For you see, as the song goes, "for the Lord is present and where He is, is holy." Hard ground is holy ground? That doesn't make human sense, but it does in God's divine order. He walks with us through the hard times of life--they become holy times and healing times as He teaches and trains and takes us through ALL the way!
Are you walking on hard ground today? Look again--for if you're a child of the Lord, it's HOLY ground--He's walking WITH you, and "where He is, is holy." Believe it and have a great day walking with Him!

"Lord, walking on hard ground is hard work--doesn't seem very holy to me. In those times of hurt on the way, help me to remember that You turn it into holy ground. You walk with me. You teach and train me through each step of the way, and I can trust You with my life. In Jesus Name, Amen."
