Peter Jennings of ABC News went on a search for Jesus in a two-hour ABCNEWS TV Special, aired on June 26, 2000. While I respect the journalistic expertise and sincerity of the "searcher," I'm afraid he was left with a watered-down, very unreal Jesus. The Jesus represented by Biblical researchers and scholars on the show was, for the most part, someone I don't know. And I MUST respond!

For MY Jesus is as real as the air I breathe. He is God's Son, as revealed in the true and unadulterated Word of God. He is my dying Savior, my Risen Lord, my never-failing guide, my all in all. I can reach out and touch Him; I can walk and talk with Him. He lives in my heart; He satisfies my soul. He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God and He is alive forevermore!

Jesus Christ is everything the Bible says He is...nothing less, nothing more. He IS the Word of God. To the human mind, He is incomprehensible, unbelievable, and quite unavailable. To the spiritual soul, He is everything we need, the infallible, incomparable, indescribable Son of God, our Savior and Lord.

Searching for the REAL Jesus? For answers beyond yourself? For a love, joy and peace only HE can give? I'm no theologian, but let me introduce you to the REAL Jesus. He's found in God's Word! Open up that Living Word of God and absorb it until HIS very life penetrates your soul--until you KNOW, without the shadow of a doubt, that HE is real--that His WORD is true--that if YOU were the only person in this world, He would have died for you. Believe it--cherish the faith God's given you this day; share it with someone else who's searching....and have a wonderful day!
