Fun 'n Faith for all ages - take a quick tour here!
TigerTime (You will need one straw, tape, "safe" scissors and two medium-size circles cut out of construction paper. Draw/decorate a strong-looking "tiger" face on one circle, and a sweet-looking "teddie bear" face on the other. Place each face opposite the other at the top of the straw. Tape them together, then to the straw.)
A jungle playground where I play, play, play! And NOW, meet THE TURN-AROUND TWINS, "Tiger" and "Teddie." As you or a grown-up reads this mini-play, turn the "puppet" around to either the Tiger or the Teddie side to represent what is happening in the story--watch for the BIG letters in the story. (Make another straw puppet for MAMA if you wish!)
Tiger (Growling): It's cloudy tonight and I AM MAD! Grrrrr!!!
Teddie: I think clouds are cool. I LOVE to lie on the grass and pretend they are pictures in the sky telling me a story!
Tiger: Well, I DON'T....and besides, Dad was going to show me the stars in the telescope tonight. You can't see stars in a cloudy sky.
Mama: Dinner's ready, kids. Hurry before our meal gets cold.
Teddie: OK, MOM. We'll be right there.
Tiger (Growling to himself): NO, we won't! I'm not going anywhere until the clouds go away!
Now what do you think will happen? Will the clouds go away? Will Teddy and Tiger get to see the stars tonight?
Mama (later that night): Well, Teddie, it looks like the clouds are GONE and YOU can see the stars tonight.
Tiger: Yay-now I am happy!
Mama: Tiger, I'm afraid you will not be happy very long. I heard you decide not to obey me. This will not be a starry night for you, Mister Tiger-YOU are going to bed right NOW!
Tiger, dragging his tail, walked away. He knew Mama was right. He SHOULD have obeyed the rules.....At least, that's what Mama said when she hugged him and tucked him in bed.
Mama: I love you, Tiger, but you must learn to obey. Let's talk to God about it.
And they did. God forgave little Tiger, he fell asleep and guess what? The weatherman said tomorrow would be a sunny day and a star-filled night. Do you think Tiger will obey Mama tomorrow night? Would YOU?
(Tip: Be sure to put away your puppet(s) in a safe place so you can use them again and again in JungleWorld!)

TogetherTime
A jungle tour thru the Bible where I learn awesome Bible stories!
Today's Bible story:
"A Twinkle in the Dark"
by Barbara Wilmerton Haas-
The Children's Chapel
"God's Story for Children"
;-) ---------------------------------------Ted & Teddie Time (for boy & girl teds & teddies)
A jungle talk-time where I learn to love God, family, friends & ME!'
When it is nightime, find a flashlight and shine the light all around a dark room or the night sky as you sing to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"
"Twinkle, twinkle in the dark
Where fireflies fly and big dogs bark.
Star, shine brightly in the sky,
Now I know the reason why
You shine so bright, at me you wink,
'Cause you obeyed when God said, "TWINK!"
"Twinkle, twinkle in the blue;
We know for sure God's Word is true!
God, help me to listen too;
I'll obey my Mom (or Dad) and You!
I want to shine your Light each day
So other kids will find Your Way!
Make a HUGE star, decorate it and print the word, TWINKLE, on it. Then use a glitter pen to draw several smaller stars on a sheet of paper, cut them out and hide them in easy places to find. (You could also use a glue pen to cover the star, then sprinkle glitter.) On the count of "1-2-3," let your family or friends try to find the stars; whoever is the last person to find a star must wear the "TWINKLE" sign and " and sing this song loudly for the STARS to hear!
Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank You for making the beautiful stars in the night sky. Each night they obey You and shine so brightly. Help me to obey my (mom/dad/parents) just as every one of the stars obey You. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
