The "love dove" is flyin' full force at Peggie's Place today! You see, it IS a special day. I waited a long time for God's choice for a mate--we were in our mid/late 30s when we met and married. I appreciate the love God has given--but there's a story behind it I must share.During my single years, my relationship with the Lord grew deeper and closer. He became my best Friend. And one day, as a single gal, I wrote a poem expressing my yearnings to the Lord about the husband I prayed He would send me some day. I gave it to my beloved husband on our wedding day, ten years later! In honor of this wonderful day (October 21, 1977), please enjoy with us the poem, "Someone."

And You did, Lord--thank You!!
A Very Happy 30th Wedding Anniversary to my beloved husband, Joe! I love you!

Just a little peek into the real lives of Peggie and Joe. In February, 1977, we met, had our first date; two months later were engaged, and on October 21, 2006, we will celebrate 29 years of one wild, wacky, wonderful marriage! You are invited to share our joy and love as we look back on 29 years of a wonderful marriage "made in heaven" and "lived on earth"--sometimes downright earthy! For like all marriages, it's not perfect--there's been stormy weather--sometimes rain showers, sometimes mini-tornados--but the SON has always shone through those dark clouds. For Christ indeed is Lord of our marriage and of our home.
God has a delightful sense of humor, and He used it in good measure when He brought us together!! We are both very different personalities--Joe is the solid, stable, brilliant scientist and logician; I am the zany, creative writer and scatterbrain. Two pieces of a puzzle, both very different, but brought together by God into perfect fit. Now it still takes work--and abit of dynamic dialogue and interesting interaction in the relationship! Never a dull moment at our home, to be sure!!
God has given us two wonderful sons (well, it may depend on which day you ask me...grin...). Joey is 24, a graduate of Evangel University, now working on a Ph.D. in math at Washington Univeresity, St. Louis, MO, and Jason, who will be 22 on the 22nd, working on a Ph.D. in chemistry at University of Missouri/Rolla. They are a combination of our own personalities and gifts, and the genes they have inherited from Mom and Dad show up in both positive and negative ways--of which I will NOT detail, especially the negative--that's all their dad's fault, of course!!
The tale could go on and on with stories that would make you laugh, cry, and praise God for His faithfulness--but here's to 29 years of love and marriage, a plan our wonderful Lord designed for two of His kids! "To God be the glory; great things He hath done!"
