The Momma BearIt's a sunny morning in the Big Forest, and the
Bear family is just waking up. Baby Bear goes downstairs
and sits in his small chair at the table, he looks into his
small bowl. It is empty.
"Who's been eating my porridge?!!" he squeaks.
Papa Bear arrives at the big table and sits in
his big chair. He looks into his big bowl, and
it is also empty.
"Who's been eating my Porridge?" he roared.
Momma Bear puts her head through the serving
hatch from the kitchen and yells. "For Pete's sake,
how many times do we have to go through this?"
"It was Momma Bear, who got up first." "It was
Momma Bear, who woke up everyone in the house."
"It was Momma Bear, who made the Coffee." "It was
Momma Bear, who unloaded the dishwasher from
last night and put everything away." "It was
Momma Bear, who went out in the cold early
morning air to fetch the newspaper." "It was
Momma Bear, who set the table. " "It was Momma
Bear, who put the cat out, cleaned the litter
box and filled the cat's water and food dishes."
"And now that you've decided to drag yourselves
downstairs and grace Momma Bear's kitchen
with your grumpy presence ...
Listen good, 'cause I'm only going to say this
one more time ..."
"I haven't made the porridge yet!!"

A Very Expensive Christmas!
It was Christmas Eve when a friend called us, asking us to help find some
last-minute toys for Christmas for some children without a Christmas. Our
kids were great - they ran to their room to round up some of their toys.
I'll never forget our son walking up with his precious Tonka fire engine
in his arms. I said, "Doug, are you sure you want to give that away?" He
looked up at me with tears in his eyes and said, "Dad - isn't that what
Christmas is all about?"
Yes, it is. It's about God bringing to you and me the most precious gift
He could give - His dear Son - who left all the glory of heaven for all
the agony of a Cross.
In the Bible's words - "God so loved the world that He gave His one and
only Son" (John 3:16). Why? To do the dying for the sinning you and I
have done. So you can put your name in that verse - "God so loved
____________ that He gave His one and only Son".
God will never forget what you do with His Son.
