"Some assembly required"--do those "fightin' words" bring back funny memories? You remember pulling the "easy-to-assemble" plans out of the bicycle box or the "whatever" box. You remember the sweat and the fret--and almost the regret of the purchase, for there's NO way those parts would all fit together. Whomever devised the plan also planned your demise--and you about lost your sanity trying, hours before deadline, to get that bike properly assembled! Memories--we all have tales to tell, rather funny now that the crisis is over!

But I just happen to know a Designer, a Planner, who gives easy instructions to assemble the body, soul and spirit of a man or woman, to make it understandable, to make it work, and to provide guaranteed support 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year. The Designer Himself comes alongside of us to help us "get it all together," and should we blow it, He's there to put it all back together again. And HIS plan for us? It's really quite simple--come to the Well and check out the assembly instructions--they're personal for YOU--made to order for the man or woman He designs you to be--come see for yourself!

The Plan of Christmas - That I May KNOW!

KNOW? Why, I already know the Story...I've heard it since a child! Sure, so have I--but His question to us today is, "Do you know ME?" For hearing the Christmas story, even believing the Christmas story, is not enough. The Plan is for you to know HIM personally--do you? You can, this Christmas. He can be a real Friend, Savior and Lord to you; His Words can become life and power to you; His Ways can become your joy and fulfillment. Christmas is more than just a story--it's a Savior, the Savior of your soul. He MADE you, He knows you and He is reaching out, with easy-to-understand instructions in His Word, so you can know Him today.

The Plan of Christmas - That I May BE!

BE? I already "am"--I'm a mom, dad, professional, student, homemaker, fixer-upper, mediator, budgeteer, organizer, chief-in-charge--isn't that enough? Sorry--DOING is not BEING--God has bigger and better plans for you and me than we've ever dreamed of! To BE a person committed to Jesus Christ is to exemplify His Spirit--love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control (Galatians 5:22,23). To BE is to give Him and our loved ones a gift of ourselves that costs us nothing--nothing but total surrender to the Master Designer and Planner of our lives. That's a tall order--and it takes a lifetime to accomplish, but the Assembler is also the Enabler, helping us conform to His own image--if we'll let Him. We're so busy DOING that we don't take time to BE. Why not STOP in the middle of the baking, the beautiful Christmas wrapping projects, the busy plans for the holidays--and say with me, "Lord, make me to BE what you want me to be..." Now that's a Christmas present HE would like to hear!

The Plan of Christmas - That I May DO!

DO? Why I already do--all of the above and more! Sure we do--life is a whirlwind of activity whatever our roles or titles may be. We run, run, run--BUSYbodies--and today we will run some more! But STOP...God's not talking about running our own lives. He's talking about working THROUGH us to win the world He loves, to be a vessel for HIS use, to participate in HIS plan. That's what the Wise Men, the shepherds, Mary, Joseph--even the prophets--did. They participated in God's plan, not because they fully knew or understood it, but because they were committed to follow in God's ways and to do His Will. Can we do less? God NEEDS us--that's awesome--and to get a little more personal, God needs YOU...and ME...personally, uniquely, individually--now that's REALLY awesome. Will you commit yourself to DO His will today? That's His plan, His wonderful Plan--for YOU this day!

A three-in-one assembly of parts--soul, spirit and body--a Designer Original, assembled in perfect plan by God the Father, and by His Son, Jesus Christ--Babe of Bethlehem, Christ of Calvary and potential Lord of your life. Give HIM a Christmas present this year--YOURSELF, someone who wants to know, to be and to do the Father's Plan! It will be the best present you've ever given anyone in your life. It costs nothing--it costs everything--and it's up to you. Think about it--and have a very Merry Christmas from Peggie's Place to yours--wherever in the world that may be!
