If you're my good friend, you heard me singing--or screaming--the blues for a week--this happened a year or two ago! It was one wild week of computer woes for this avid Macintosh
fan--problems with the hard drive, the printer, the utilities, the
screensaver--and this saint was snowed under in utter frustration and frantic
frenzy! Anyone who is Italiano (and a "saint" with a small "s") will
identify....grin....it was not funny THEN, but the incident is long past, under control,
and everything is HUMMING along.....I THINK! I did survive!
How DO you survive the breakdowns of life? We're not talking about the kids'
Christmas toys breaking down (which is a good possibility) nor your household
appliances going out (which is another good possibility), but we're talking about
YOU--and ME--how do we handle the REAL breakdowns of life--the emotional,
physical, mental, spiritual crashes we all experience at one time or another?
Well, shut off the computer (hope YOUR screensaver works...grin) and ZIP along
with me to the Well, where the Master Technician awaits us. He's a qualified
representative of heaven to fix your problems, re-install your system, re-boot
your life, and re-tune your blues into blessings...let's see what HE can do!
A Helping Word...or
Two!
His strength upholds me!
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee. Be not dismayed; for I am thy

His arms undergird
me!
"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting
arms; and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee, and shall say, Destroy
them...Happy are thou, O Iraael! Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the
Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency? And thine
enemies shall be found liars unto thee, and thou shalt tread upon their high
places (Deuteromony 33:27,29 KJV)."
His Spirit indwells
me!
"That he would grant you,
according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit
in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16 KJV)."
His Word is within
me!
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching
and admonishing one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with
grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16 KJV)."
His comfort surrounds
me!
"Blessed be God, even the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who
comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are
in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God (2
Corinthians 1:3,4 KJV)."
His Eyes are upon
me!
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear him, upon those
who hope in his mercy (Psalm 33:18 KJV)."
Look in a computer manual for a quick-fix and you may or may not find it! Look in
the Master's Manual and you're sure to find just what you need. He understands
all of our breakdowns; He's an impossibility expert, and He's given us a repair
and maintenance Manual that works--AND communication with the technical support
department's not a problem either! We're not given a busy signal, put on hold,
given seven voice mail selections, or sent to another five departments. He's
available and ready to help--He's a Master Fixer-Upper and that's exactly where I
want to go when the "breakdown blues" hit--how about you!
Now let's stop singing the blues and start singing His praise....for there's NO
breakdown HE can't fix!

week--or sometimes, the breakdowns never get fixed and just pile up! They're
piled up today, Lord, and I need Your help. I know you will hear my cry--and You
