The Eternal Promise of Easter

A Hurting Word...

"Promises are made to be broken," so goes the saying. Ask someone who's been hurt--it's heavy stuff--and it happens all the time. But I know a Promise-Maker who kept good His promise yesterday, will be true to it today, and will fulfill it tomorrow. He's the One who said, "Because I live, you shall live also." Come to the Well on this glorious Easter and celebrate with me the Resurrection of our Lord!

A Helping Word...or Two!

E aster Joy!

Disciples...you can trust Him. He promises something greater than happiness--He gives a deep joy that endures. He promises morning after the darkest night; light in the dreariest day. He lifts the heart and fills the soul. He's Light and Life. He IS joy--and He never fails!

A bundant Grace!

Peter...you can trust Him. He promises a grace that pardons your deepest shame. Sure--you failed the Lord, but there's forgiveness. There's grace for today--and for tomorrow too. Failures forgiven are but stepping stones to the throne room of God, where He waits to not only accept you, but to draw you closer to Himself, to empower you for service beyond your wildest dreams. Watch, Peter--for the Promise of the Holy Spirit is on its way--and YOU, the one who failed Him, will have a part in it. Receive His grace today--it's waiting for you.

S teadfast Love!

Mary and Martha...you can trust Him too. The same Friend who's entered your home and enjoyed fellowship so many times is about to do an amazing miracle. His love will not fail you--even when you do not understand it. He is about to do a greater miracle that you could ever imagine--because He loves you. He's God and He's the same yesterday, today and forever. "Lazarus, come forth!"

T riumphant Joy!

Mary, sad Mary...you can trust Him. You sorrow at the empty tomb--your Lord is taken away. His presence is gone. Sadness, overwhelming sadness takes His place...No, don't give up--for you are about to hear Someone call your name. Your sadness is about to be turned into triumphant joy. "Mary!"...."Rabboni!" Joy, triumphant joy...that's His Word--He keeps it and it's true.

E verlasting Life!

Thief...no one ever trusted you--but YOU can trust HIM! If He promises you paradise, it's yours. Your sin so great is gone--all because of the Man on the middle cross. You will know peace, pardon and everlasting life--all because you believe. You are forgiven--and when Christ forgives, you are forgiven indeed and forevermore. Because HE lives, YOU shall live also--that's His Word!

R edemptive Hope!

World...no one can bring you light for your darkness, love for your hatred, peace for your pain--like Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord. He came to change the world--one heart at a time--and He's doing it everywhere. He promises to redeem you--to bring you into right relationship with Him...and His Word is true. Watch the tomb, saints of God...for your Lord is about to declare His Name to all the world--and to you--and because HE lives, you shall live also! it's His Word...and He always keeps His Word!

The promise of Easter lives today. I go to His Word and I find help, strength, power and peace. I go to His Word and I find forgiveness, acceptance and love. I go to His Word and I find HIM, my risen Lord, alive forevermore, to meet my need. May the eternal promise of Easter live in your heart this day--and every day. He lives for me, for you, for a whole world. Go tell them--He's alive! He's ALIVE! HE'S ALIVE!!

His Healing Words

"...I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25,26 KJV)."

"Blessed be the Lord, who hath given rest unto his people, Israel, according to all that he promised; there hath not failed one word of all his good promise...(1 Kings 8:56 KJV)."

"Lord, may Your promises live anew in my heart this day. May I know the grace, love, victory, joy and hope of Easter--in my OWN heart in a special way this week. Thank You for rising for ME. Than You for living for ME! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Please note that while I strongly adhere to major tenets of the evangelical Christian faith, I may not personally agree with every specific doctrinal belief set forth in other Christian pages. I do want to provide a diversity of links and resource material for the entire Body of Christ to enjoy, and trust you will view it as such.
