A Hurting Word...

Christmas is a lovely time for a wedding--and our family attended a picture-perfect one several years ago. Christmas lights, trees, candles transformed the front of the sanctuary into a winter wonderland, as our youth pastor and the deacon's daughter exchanged wedding vows. We drank in the sacred, beautiful ceremony as we relived our own wedding day--it was almost like getting married all over again!
We left the glowing newlyweds to begin their lives together (I'm sure they noticed our leaving!), as we returned to our own, which included returning a video game, then arriving home to trade the pearl earrings and wedding clothes for jeans and the laundry! And oh--don't forget the trip to the grocery store for milk, juice, and Excedrin! Welcome to the REAL world!
Mary and Joseph must have experienced some of this "real world" syndrome, as they quietly began living REAL family life--the angel was gone, the shepherds were gone, even the Wise Men were on their way. A crying, wet, hungry Child remained--with all the care a young child requires, with all the adjustment a family must make.
And in the middle of it all, comes real terror--King Herod is looking for the Christ Child, seeking to destroy Him. Now what--where are the angels when you NEED them? But YOU know the story...an angel DID show up...in a dream, he instructs Joseph to take his family to Egypt for safe-keeping. Joseph obeys, and the Christ Child is safe. God entered the REAL world of love, life, and the laundry--and He is still doing it today! Come to the Well--you'll find promises for REAL living in His Word!

God Cares About Your World!

God Plans for Your World!

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)."
God Works in Your World!
"Now unto him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)."

The love of God reaches beyond the lovely, beautiful events of our lives--into the familiar and sometimes frantic moments of our lives--He is there for it all. And He'll be there as a New Year begins--He will walk with you through the wonderful times and the worrisome times--THAT'S the kind of God we serve. A God who sees us through love, life--AND the laundry! May He fill YOUR real world with His awesome presence throughout the coming year. Happy New Year from Peggie's REAL Place--where there's always lots of love, plenty of life--and don't forget the laundry!!

And that's just a NOTE or two--from my heart to yours!

His Healing Words

"Lord, thank You for Your presence in my life--in the high points and the low points, You are there! And I know You will walk with me through this coming year. I commit it completely to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
