Perhaps I'm feelin' a bit like a bride today - tomorrow's our wedding anniversary - and even after 31 years, I feel accepted and loved - MOST days (chuckle!) - by my beloved Boaz (If you can tolerate - and even enjoy - a "mushy" love story, you must read It's a God Thing, the "Ruth 'n Boaz" Bohanon love story!)

But THAT's another story - and another day. There are days - and daze (!!) - when you are I feel far from being accepted and loved in the scheme of life. Hard times, hard feelings, all the hard stuff of life sometimes take away our song, and in those moments of pain, we feel as though God doesn't love us, people don't accept us, we wanna go eat worms, not sing a wedding tune! For when we look in the mirror, we don't see a bride - or a groom - beautiful, accepted and loved.....we see a mirage of flaws and failures and imperfections certainly not fit for a bride!

Been there/done that? I have, and if you're honest, you'll admit you're guilty too. We fall or fail, so we FEEL, in the eyes of God, friends, family and especially ourselves - and down in the pit we sit - condemning the very one God loves and accepts - unconditionally - He SAYS so in His Word.

Having a bad day today? Take another look in the mirror - not of your OWN making but in the mirror of God's Word....Read how much He loves you, how much He cares - as one writer put it, "Jesus said, 'I love you THIS much' - and He stretched out His hands on the Cross and died!"

You and I are accepted and beloved of the Lord - yesterday, today, forever - for all time! We, the Church of Jesus Christ, are the Bride of Christ, no matter how we feel. So if you don't feel like a bride or groom today, if you're feeling far from the "accepted and beloved" child of God that you really are, look up. He's looking down on you today and He loves you THIS much! Sing a wedding song today - take HIS hand - you are HIS Bride - have a wonderful day!
