Welcome to Millionaires Anonymous of the Great New Millennium! Now I'm not really addicted to my money--I don't have any--grin! AND I'm not a millionaire AND I'm not "anonymous"--I'm just having some "M & M" fun, and by the time this devo is done, I hope you're smiling too!
Once again, before all the charities in the world begin calling me, having found that magic word "millionaire" in a Web search, let me assure you I am NOT a millennium millionaire from this earth.....OK, I'm not from another planet either, as my teenage boys may think! I'm "just" a Christian like YOU...and I'm rich--even AFTER Christmas!
You see, I may be "anonymous" to the world, but I have a Father who knows me by name. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills--and knows my every need--I'm rich in His grace.
I have an Elder Brother, God's only Son, who died for me and ever lives to make intercession for me--I'm rich in His love.
AND I have residing within me the presence of His Holy Spirit. He abides within me and walks beside me--to comfort, guide and bring delight to my heart--I'm rich in His joy.
Now what else do I need to to survive a day, a year--or a thousand years? What else do YOU need to do the same? We are more than survivors--we are more than conquerors through Him--and HE, the Triune God, walks with us and beside us into the New Year and the next millennium. YOU and I are rich in things that money cannot buy. Now believe it--Happy New Year--and have a great year!
Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word
"...that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory ofhis inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (Ephesians 1:18,19)."
Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day
"Lord, thank You for the unfailing faith You give, for the love and joy You provide. I am rich--and I walk confidently into the New Year and the next millennium, knowing You are the same God who's helped in the past; You will help me today, tomorrow--and the rest of my life. Thank You for Your goodness, In Jesus' Name, Amen."
