I've had all three--and if you live on Planet Earth in the 21st Century, you probably have a computer--or it's on your want list; you've got a car, for WHATEVER it's worth; and you have or have HAD the "crud" for whatever THAT'S worth! Computers, cars and a created body that WORKS are all wonderful--but when any one of them cease to work, we're in trouble!
...When they ALL cease to work at the same time, you're in BIG trouble! Had a good friend email a group of his friends, including me, a pathetic prayer request one time--he had a computer crash, a van in the garage and a bug breezin' through his family--all at the same time--while on the road headed for five weeks of heavy ministry! He got our prayers, believe me--and if the "stuff of life" has ever piled up on you too, all at once, you know exactly what he went through! (See link below and pray for our friend, Eric and his family, who in his Christian illusionist ministry can make all kinds of things disappear--may his troubles--and NOT his hard drive--all do the same, as we pray in Jesus' Name!)
We all have those times when "bad things" come in bunches...and what do we do? We bundle them all up, take them to the Lord, and "keep on truckin'" down the road of life! Ever read the story of Job? The poor man lost his health, his cattle and his family--and if he would have had a computer and a car, he'd have probably lost that too! But he remained true to the God he loved, and God remained true to him. "So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning (Job 42:12)."
Got heavy stuff you're carrying today? Give HIM your cares--He understands, cares, and is able "to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or even think." Cars, computers--and the "crud" are nothing to Him. If He can create a world that works so wondrously, He can work wonders in YOUR world today. Now believe it--let HIM bear your burdens, keep on believing in Him, WHATEVER breaks down--and you will have a great day!
