Double Trouble!
Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way
What's "double trouble?" If you would have asked Grandma, she'd have replied with a twinkle in her eyes, "Your two little rascals!" How well I remember my dear elderly mom babysitting two little boys with tall tales to tell of their latest antics when we'd return. "One I can handle; but two--PLEASE, Peg! I'm 80 years old!" Bless her heart--and her memory!
Double trouble hits us all! Ever have the devil try it on you? He hits you with a problem, then before it is ever solved, while you're still "worrying" about it, another one hits you square between the eyes. You've got double trouble...and what to do??
"They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11)." That's God's Word and it works. Satan cannot stand in the presence of the Blood and he cannot tolerate your testimony either! So when he throws double trouble at you today, send some powerful trouble HIS way--the Blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony!
P.S. It's all "Greek" to me, but I understand that the verse, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13: 5)," in Greek, translates, "I will NEVER NEVER NEVER leave thee...I will NEVER NEVER NEVER forsake thee." Now that's TRIPLE TROUBLE for the devil--and he better run for, "...if GOD be for us, WHO can be against us (Romans 8:31)!" Believe it, stay out of trouble--and have a triumphant day!
Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word
"The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Oh, bring thou me out of my distresses...Oh, keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee (Psalm 25:17,20 KJV)."
Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day
"Lord, I've got "double trouble" today--problems in my life, one on top of another--and I'm overwhelmed. Come to my rescue with your precious Blood as I come against Satan with the word of my faith. You have overcome him--and so can I, in your Name and by Your Word. In Jesus Name, Amen."
