Stale bread doesn't taste very good...and neither does a stale story! Whether it's food to eat or news to devour...make it FRESH! And yet, God, who works behind the scenes in awesome ways we cannot understand, used a "stale story" to bless someone just this week. Here's the testimony as told by a lady who emailed me an incredible testimony!
She was sorting through papers getting ready for a garage sale, found a Pentecostal Evangel from October 1996. Browsing through it, she found an article by me, and eagerly wanted to read it.....She had lately been discouraged and was grateful for finding my website. God was watching over her and wanted to encourage her, I'm sure.
Now you must understand that this article, published almost FOUR years ago, is greatly outdated--the facts and figures are "stale"--and I do not believe that article even contained my Web address, only the Web site name, "Peggie's Place!" And yet--a person in need found it and now can receive fresh daily bread from God's hand--and from a Christian home on the Web! It was God's provision--and His provisions are NEVER late, NEVER stale and NEVER out-dated!
Remember that for whatever you are going through in YOUR life today--and have a great day feasting on the FRESH BREAD He's got waiting for YOU!
Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word
"It is because of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22,23.)
Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day
"Lord, your mercies are marvelous, beyond human comprehension. You know my need this day and I believe you are able to meet it, make it fresh bread, and pass it "over the wall" to my heart! Thank You for Your faithfulness in My life, In Jesus' Name, Amen."
