Words From the Well!

The Eternal Power of Easter
A Hurting
Word...
A Helping Word...or
Two!
Omnipotent Peace!
That omnipotent peace touched the women at the empty tomb. They came in sorrow to see where their Savior lay. Fear must have filled their hearts as they discovered, "He's gone!" But God, who knows the heart, provided the help they needed. He had an angel on hand with a message, "Fear not!" Angels are like that--they seem to show up on the scene with "fear not" messages throughout the Bible. This marked day in history was no exception. Before the glory could be felt, the fear had to be dealt with--and it was. The message of the angel brought peace and great joy to the hearts of His followers. "Jesus is alive!" they shouted and proclaimed it on the housetops!
Let that omnipotent peace touch your heart today too. However distraught, whatever terror, there's a Risen Savior who sends His Word to you, "Fear not!" It's the omnipotent message of Easter...we need not fear for there is a Lord who lives for us, both now and forevermore! Fear, begone, in the Name of Jesus, our eternal Lord!
Omnipotent Grace!
That omnipotent grace touched the lady in the garden. Oh, she WAS no lady at one time in her life--her name was besmirched and tainted with shame. But Jesus touched her once day and she would never be the same. He forgave her--and as it has been said, "Those who have been forgiven much, love much." She loved the Lord who had been cruelly crucified. She wept in sorrow in the garden near His tomb....and then the weeping stopped. She heard a voice calling her name, "Mary." She would know that voice anywhere. "Rabboni," she cried. The God of Grace had come to her once again. He was alive--He was there for her, and she worshipped Him.
Let that omnipotent grace touch your life today too. However shamed or sinful you feel, whether it's real or false guilt, it can be gone at the place of the Empty Tomb. Jesus, your Risen Lord, gives you His matchless, undeserved grace. Its power is the same today--and forever--to redeem your misdeeds--and your memories too! Sin, begone, in the Name of Jesus, our eternal Lord!
Omnipotent Love!
That omnipotent love reached out to Peter, as Jesus told the women who came to the tomb, "Go tell my disciples--AND PETER!" Jesus somehow knew, as Jesus always does, that a man filled with despair, despondency and defeat, a man who really loved Jesus but had really failed Him, needed a special word of love and acceptance. Jesus forgave Peter and days later fully restored him to the place of fellowship he once knew. That's unconditional love--and it turned Peter into a Pentecostal powerhouse for God, an evangelist who would proclaim God's love everywhere.
Let that omnipotent love touch your life today too. However you've failed or forsaken the Lord, He will never fail nor forsake you. He loves you and comes to restore you to fellowship and friendship with Himself once again. He's got a plan for your life--and the failures of today He will turn into the triumphs of tomorrow--for HIS glory. "Go tell my disciples--and ___________!" Fill in the blank with YOUR name--for His powerful, all-accepting love reaches to you and your need this day. Defeat and despair, begone in the Name of Jesus, our eternal Lord!
Easter is much more than the merriment that the world enjoys. Heaven places a deep, powerful meaning on this wonderful day. It's a celebration which will resound through all eternity as we enjoy His peace, His grace and His love forevermore. But eternity is THEN, nor NOW....we look forward to it, of course, but we need its provisions now. And that's what Easter is all about--the provisions of His peace, His grace and His love made possible NOW because of the death and Resurrection of Our Lord. Celebrate Easter the REAL way--rejoice in His omnipotent peace, grace and love, and have a wonderful Easter Day!

Words from the Well poem--a prayer from the
heart!
A mini-devo (Mon thru Fri) with a brief comment, Bible verse and prayer to start your day!
We live in a world which plays with power--in politics, in the workplace, in the home, and sometimes, unfortunately, even the church! However, there was a display of power one day which marked history forever. It was no power play--it was real, it is real, and it will be real forevermore. Come with me to the Cross and the Empty Tomb and see power in its finest hour as our Lord defeated the prince of darkness, sin and the grave--forevermore.. We serve a sacrificed and Risen Savior whom we can rightly call "The Omnipotent One"--and His power extends down through the centuries to touch us both now and for eternity. Come to the Well--and see!
being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10 KJV)." "Lord, I need Thy ominipotent peace, grace and love in my life today. Take the fear, the sin, and failures--and turn them into testimonies that will be used for Your glory in my life and the life of others. I want to experience the real power of Easter--and I receive it now, In Jesus' Name, Amen.
