There's a guest at Peggie's REAL Place this weekend! It's been our delight to entertain him--in a lovely guest room, with good food, and great fellowship--what more could he want? Probably another piece of my famous cherry cheesecake--or maybe just for me to announce around the world that he's not a guest anymore--he is family! And--to announce that the cheesecake is almost all gone, so don't all 30,000 of you make a beeline for Peggie's REAL Place in Springfield, Missouri!
I know--now YOUR mouth is watering--and the virtual cheesecake in Peggie's WEB kitchen is just not quite the same! But you still come--I have a counter over the 32,000 mark, and an overflowing guestbook to prove it! It's my delight to read wonderful entries from around the world of people--just like you--who stop in, kick off their shoes, stay awhile, and feel welcome in "the most fun Christian home on the Web." But let's face it--it's a VIRTUAL home--there's no REAL front door, no REAL family room, and no REAL freshly brewed coffee! It's electronic, and so there's not even any REAL paper!
I know another home--it's not on the Web, although its presence is felt there. It's not on paper, although its power is felt there. It's Father's House, and best of all, there's NO guestbook there--because you are never a guest in Father's House--unless you CHOOSE to be. It's just next door to Peggie's Place--right by the Well--how does it compare to Peggie's Place?? Let's jump over the fence and see!
A Helping Word...or Two!
Rest and Refreshment!...It's there--at Peggie's Place--folk frequently talk about the love and joy, the warm atmosphere, they feel at "the most fun Christian home on the Web." I am thankful God has blessed it so. But...Peggie's REAL Place? You gotta be kiddin'--not much rest there, and junk food abounds--you see, two teenagers live there--need I say more??
But I know a place just next door--it's Father's House--and there you will find rest and refreshment for spirit, soul, and body. His home is invisible on earth--it's deep within the heart of each born-again Christian, and the place of Christ's dwelling. How deep? The depth of your rest and refreshment will be dependent upon the depth of your relationship with Him. You can be a guest, or you can be family--the choice is yours!
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28 KJV). "
Renewal!...It's there--at Peggie's Place on the Web! You'll find it in the Son Room, in the devotional area, in Christian reading, Christian music, and much more. You may even find at the Well--I hope so! But...Peggie's REAL Place? Well, let's put it THIS way--there's plenty of room for renewal--new doors, new carpet, new tile...and yes, new clothes for growing kids' closets!
But I know a place just next door--it's Father's House--and there you will find renewal for spirit, soul, and body. His Word and His Spirit, deeply indwelling the believer, builds a home of renewed love and devotion, a place of restored life and healing--it's all there in Father's House. And it's yours for the asking. How much do you want? It depends. The depth of your renewal will be dependent upon the depth of your desire. You can be a guest or you can be family--the choice is yours!
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)."
Relationship!...It's there--at Peggie's Place on the Web. Just check her address book, and you'll find friends around the world! The United States, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Holland. From forty-five states, and almost thirty foreign countries, come Christian friends, acquaintances, and visitors--my home is filled with love and laughter, a place of Christian, Christ-honoring relationships I cherish. And Peggie's REAL Place? Well, let's put it THIS way--there are days of roses and days of rumpus--for it's a REAL home, filled with love, and very REAL people, with the ups-and-downs of REAL living. Usually more hectic than heavenly, but we're workin' on it!

For the God of heaven Himself desires to be our closest Friend, Companion, and Lover. It's ours for the asking. How close can it be? It all depends--you can be a guest or you can be family. The choice is yours!
