Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

Bible Byte 'n Chocolate Chew for Today

"Here Comes the Judge...Here Comes the Lord!"

Daily Manna's Bible reading: Galatians 3:10-14 (NIV)

Here comes the Judge! NO, not Dr. Judy and not the judge who heard your latest speeding excuse....NO - this is the "Real Judge" of all time, God Himself - Creator of the Universe, Maker of all mankind - and Maker of ME! Worldwide quivering begins now!

Oh, you'd rather watch ME shake, rattle and roll? Well, let's recount my sins - no, on second thought, let's recount yours! In fear and trembling, we ALL deserve to quiver before the Judge - we're guilty as hell! Only worse. We've broken His laws and defamed His name with our thoughts, actions, words, and wickedness. We stand doomed before the Divine ruler of time and eternity.

So, people of the world - you included - start quivering! Oh, you'd rather not do it now in front of God and everybody? On a blog, on the Web - or worse, yet, on FACEBOOK?.....OK, then, relax - just stand back and watch ME quiver! This should make your day!!

But wait - hold the courtroom drama - hold the grievous gavel - the veritable verdict - just one minute more! For into the courtroom comes Another - my Lord, my Defense Attorney, whose death nailed every thought, word, deed and mis-deed to His Cross....who bore my guilt, sin and shame in His own body, with His own blood.

The quivering stops. I see him standing in my place, in my defense, and He speaks. I'd know His Voice anywhere! "Your Honor. I represent this woman, My child, bought by my own precious Blood. I took her place. She has received my grace, wears my robe of righteousness - and I rest her case."

The gavel sounds throughout all time and eternity. "Defense heard and accepted. Substitution received. The accused is proclaimed NOT GUILTY! Case closed." And then the Judge pauses, looks at His Son, looks at ME and lovingly whispers, "You are MY child too - My Son's blood has redeemed you - now go, live in that freedom and share it with the world. Case CLOSED!!

The sound of the gavel reverberates in my ears. I stand erect, in my shining robe of righteousness (extra-large, by the way - chuckle); I believe it, I receive it and devil, hear it - the case is closed!!

Now, child of God, it's YOUR turn to stand before the Judge. Hear His verdict, believe it, receive it, and have a wonderful, Court-closed, case-closed, God-forgiven, choco-rich day!
