Our son Jason was a trickster...he still is....but we all know the difference between tricks and truth - or do we?
Open scene 1: A teacher of the law asks Jesus to name the most important commandment. Was he sincere or trying to trick Jesus? Who knows? HE knows - for HE is the way, the TRUTH and the life. You can depend on Jesus to sort it all out.
Open scene 2: A man drives out demons in the Name of Jesus - is he a trickster? Jesus says, "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me..." Jesus knows - for HE is the way, the TRUTH and the life. You can depend on Jesus to sort it all out.
The drama is not over. Open scene 3. It's YOU and that part of your being that believes what's true - and sometimes what's NOT true. The enemy of your soul is a master trickster who would bombard that brain of yours with imaginations, fears, anxiety and LIES....send him to JESUS, HE is the way, the TRUTH and the life - and He KNOWS every trick in the book that Satan will try against you. Let HIM deal with the old fox!!
The curtain closes. Drama ends.....not quite....for all heaven applauds as YOU come to the Cross, to the Savior, source of all truth....Truth personified. That's the secret! Let Christ and HIS Word be the foundation of your beliefs - let HIS TRUE drama play in your mind, soul and spirit; keep an eye on Jason - and you will have a wonderful, truthful, fun-filled, God-believing, choco-rich day!
