Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way
"Daddy, pray for me!" this hurt little kid would cry and come running to her preacher-dad. She KNEW Daddy's prayers reached heaven, and without a doubt, her hurt would quickly and effectively be handed over to her Heavenly Father for HIS ultimate care! There's another little kid out there, a cute little Cuban child named Elian, who needs our prayers today. In the middle of the conflicts and crises, and without daring to touch the complications of the issue, I WOULD dare to say he's still a little boy who needs a Heavenly Father's care during these difficult days.
AND so do you--and I! We never get too old, too intelligent, too independent nor too sophisticated to need our Father's care. It's a loving relationship between a child and his Father--we rest in His care; we respond to His call. It's a family tie we cherish, a bond He will not break. We're safe and secure as we serve Him--in His care and by His grace!
Are you hurting today? Run to your Heavenly Father; He's waiting to help and heal, more than any earthly father could ever do. So, "child of the Father," start running now--and have a wonderful day!
Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God...(1 John 3:1)."
Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day
"Lord, the thief's been hanging around my place, trying to steal the abundant life I possess in Christ Jesus. He is defeated by Your power, Your Blood and Your Name. I take up my Sword, Your powerful Word, and I claim victory, In Jesus Name, Amen."
