Today's Chocolate Chew: Fashion Forerunner for the New Year!?!

Happy New Year - and now you can watch for the yearly list of the "10 Worst Dressed Women of the Year" - let's hope we're not on it! For sure, John the Baptist would not be on the "Best Dressed Men of the Year" list!" A camel coat, a leather belt.....hey, maybe that WOULD sail in today's fashions, think about it....funny thought!
Suffice it to say, clothes did NOT make the man. John the Baptist cared less whether he wore blue jeans or a suit, khakis or overalls. He had lots more to do than to check out the latest fashions on the Web. He was on a mission - to focus all eyes on the coming Messiah, Savior of the World. And that he did!
John the Baptist drew not attention to himself, but to the One who would save the world. Can we do less?
Think about it, chew on it, and have a God-filled, choco-covered New Year!
PRAYER: "Lord, we face an uncertain year ahead; some focus on the terror of our times while others focus on the fashion of the day. Help us to focus on You, Prince of Peace of the world; may we be clothed with the garments of righteousness as we lead others to our Lord this year, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
