"Love at First Sight!"

Daily Manna's Bible reading - 1 John 4:7-12 (NIV)

It's an eternal debate: Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Our own love story, begun by a HAND SHAKE, was observed by a mutual friend who told his wife, "I saw INSTANT communication there - you watch and see what happens!" And he was right - it happened - October 21, 1977.

Needless to say, there are as many love stories as there are people in the world - the good, the bad and the ugly - but there is one Love Story that transcends all others - the Love of God. HE loved us first - it was "love at first sight!" and a divine love that cannot be duplicated in a world that will soon pass away.

If you are feeling slighted on Valentine's Day with no "real love" to call your own (and I've been there/done that), it's not fun - but you are NOT alone. You are NOT on your own. There is One whose love is not fickle, not forgettable and never fails - and His Name is Jesus.

You are dearly loved this day and every day. Believe it, receive it, and you will have a joy-filled, Love-filled, choco-rich day!

PRAYER: "Lord, I need something greater than human love today. Single or married, it's YOU I need, the Lover of my soul. You are faithful and will never, never forsake me. I cling to You and receive Your love today with all my heart, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
